Indigenous Community TeleCare

The Power of Elder-Focused Humanity in TeleCare

be the change

Women's Engaged Stewardship of community Health and Wellbeing

It takes fortitude to claim ownership of the health your community dreams about and deserves. We help communities build a TeleCare platform that works for Members lives and families - no matter what stage of life that may be. We help take the burden from Heath Centre Managers and administrators who are responsible for navigating health technology options and recruiting respectful medical professionals who align with your traditional culture and values. And, most importantly, meet the needs of Elders who are worthy of human touch.

Understanding Community telecare Needs

Community TeleCare provides the missing link for Indigenous communities to gain parity in health access and agency to live a good life with opportunity, comfort and respect.

Using our Community Health Needs and TeleCare Team Readiness Assessments, we help communities get to the root of healthcare barriers and limitations. We have expertise in assisting with the recruitment of providers for chronic diseases, mental health and allied health services delivery via virtual care.

Our technology partners honour Indigenous history and culture. Our and intake process can be translated to Cree, Ojibwe and Gitxsan languages to gain full member life stories, which become respectful health histories informing physicians of multiple impacts on health.

We create new jobs and training for Members where they live, preparing for careers in digital health. Our team supports Health Centre staff, reducing the burden and burnout of sole health services responsibility. TeleManagers oversee all workflows and patient processes for the safe and secure administration of TeleCare. We also train youth TeleMentors who support Elders and homebound patients with personalized, comforting support, reducing the fear and distrust of technology. They encourage Elders to speak in their language for translation, learning new ways to advocate cultural history into the future.

Funder presentations & Proposals

In this awakened time of truth and reconciliation funding, Indigenous communities are able to claim access to the quality of healthcare they deserve. We help communities build their case with a strong Community TeleCare Implementation presentation to funders. Your administrators present community needs with a solid budget, community engagement plan, and implementation plan that ensures Members have a voice in how they gain access to respectful health services and successful health outcomes.

the power of TeleCare Job Creation

Gaining trust for Community TeleCare adoption within Indigenous communities requires a delicate, considerate process that acknowledges historical trauma, prioritizes cultural safety, and emphasizes community engagement. This includes recognizing and addressing barriers to technology access, promoting patient virtual care literacy, and ensuring Indigenous voices are at the forefront of program design and implementation.

Creating new jobs for women and youth is our commitment to ensuring TeleCare transforms equal opportunity in-community. TeleManagers and TeleMentors lead with cultural enthusiasm, tech skills and confidence to transition their community with meaningful, virtual care services that save lives.
